A two hundred year long relationship was revived on 20th March which had started almost 500 years ago, in the town hall of the Upper-Hungarian (today Slovakian) town Lőcse, where Béres József, the owner of the Béres Vineyard and Wine-cellars his presents representing the historical connection of the Béres Vineyard and the town of Lőcse: the wines from the vineyard's (Nincs javaslat) and a carved cask with coat of arms made of oak wood of Zemplén to the Major of the town Miroslav Vilikovský.
Article:
The reason of our present festive meeting is rooted in the past - said Béres József –, since our estate in Erdőbénye includes the Lőcse-dűlő of 500 years of tradition. This land one used to belong to Lőcse free royal town and the wine of Erdőbénye was an important source of income for the town. As Jókai Mór put it in his novel: The White Lady of Lőcse: "The town of Lőcse is currently the owner of the richest goldmine of Hungary: the vineyard of Hegyalja."

I deeply believe – explained Béres József -, the our past and future begins with the understanding of the values of our past. This is why we placed a cask decorated with our coat of arms in the ceremonial hall of the town hall which is a symbolic tie between the present and future - between the town of Lőcse and Erdőbénye of Tokaj-Hegyalja. h
