Béres Tokaji Aszú 5 puttonyos 2011
Golden hue. Opulent and weighty nose. Having spent so long aging in barrel and then in bottle it is highly recommended to give this Aszú some time to aerate so as to assist the aromas to unfold. Your patience will be rewarded by a spectacular array of aromas including notes of honey, dried fruits, Christmas spices and toasted oily nuts. In line with the character of the vintage the palate reveals a mouthwatering acidity providing a counterpoint to the considerable amount of residual sugar. The tertiary flavours signalling maturity are clearly discernible: date, candied citrus, forest floor and Christmas spices. A wine for special occasions.

Béres Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos 2008
Golden with an orange tint. Big and bold the nose reveals layers of dried fruits, beeswax, honey, caramel besides the typical notes of oak aging. An elegant acidity enlivens the palate highlighting a core of juicy tropical fruits and citrus. Residual sugar, volume and alcohol are all seamlessly integrated in this unctuous wine. The finish is laced with Earl Grey tea and chamomile. Opening a bottle of this Aszú is cause enough to celebrate.
